HE President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker met with HE Head of Qatar's Mission to the European Union Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani. During the meeting which was held at the headquarters of the European Commission, they discussed the latest developments in Libya, Yemen and Syria, and affirmed keenness of the State of Qatar to cooperate with European and UN efforts in order to restore security and stability in the region.

For his part, the President of the European Commission valued the prominent and influential contribution of the State of Qatar in political processes in the past period as well as in humanitarian field and relief operations and its rapid response in conflict and emergency areas especially for those affected by them in the world. Juncker stressed the importance of European-Qatari cooperation in light of the difficult regional conditions that require unifying visions and efforts to overcome all the international and regional challenges.
