H.E Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Belgium and the head of mission to the EU, hosted a luncheon in honor of H.E. Mr. Hugues Mingarelli, the former director of the European External Action Service on the occasion of the end of his duties.

The ceremony was attended by a number of European officials and ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) accredited to Belgium.

H.E. Mr. Mingarelli expressed his appreciation for the role of the State of Qatar and its constructive contribution to the Qatari — European joint  cooperation, and commended the humanitarian role of the State of Qatar, and praised the good results achieved by the Joint Ministerial Conference between the GCC and the European Union in Doha.

For his part, the head of the Mission of the State of Qatar to the European Union thanked  – H.E Mangherli for his efforts during his period in Foreign Affairs and wished him success in his new duties and confirmed the keenness of the State of Qatar to enhance its relations with its European partners.
