HE Minister of Culture Inaugurates Qatari Cultural Days in Belgium

HE Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdul Aziz Al Kuwari inaugurated Saturday the Qatari Cultural Days in Belgium, in the presence of HE Qatar's Ambassador to Belgium Sheikh Ali bin Jassim bin Thani Al-Thani along with a number of political, diplomatic and cultural personalities in Belgium.

The event gains more prominence since it is held in the capital of the European Union. In his speech at the opening ceremony, HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim bin Thani Al-Thani said that the event would introduce visitors to different cultural Qatari art forms, highlighting the role of HE the Minister of Culture in promoting the event, out of his confidence that culture was a key diplomatic tool that could bring different people together. 

HE the Ambassador also extended his thanks to Director-General of the Centre for Fine Arts (Bozar) in Brussels Paul De Jardin for his cooperation to hold the event. He also praised the strong bilateral relations between Belgium and Qatar. 

His Excellency said that culture played an important role under the guidance of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and in accordance with Qatar National Vision 2030. HE the Ambassador added that organizing events to highlight the Qatari Cultural role confirms the presence of the State of Qatar not only in politics and the economy, but also in the cultural scene.
