H.E Sheikh / Ali Bin Jassim Al Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Belgium and to NATO, met today with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen. 

Rasmussen assigned the Qatari diplomat to convey his greetings to H.H the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and H.H the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani. During the meeting, they exchanged points of view on a set of issues of common interest and discussed aspects of cooperation between the State of Qatar and the North Atlanatic Treaty Organisation (NATO) and means of boosting and enhancing them further . The current situation in the Middle East region with a special emphasis on the syrian dossier was also taken up.
