His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs met with HE Mr. Irfan Mahmoud Al-Hayali, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Iraq in the Belgian capital Brussels.

During the meeting, they discussed issues of mutual interest between the two brotherly countries and means of enhancing them.

 The meeting also dealt with the latest situation in the region.

The meeting was attended by HE Ambassador Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, Qatar's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, Head of Mission of the State of Qatar to the European Union and NATO, Brigadier General Abdul Hadi bin Mubarak Al Hajri, Qatari Military Attaché to Belgium and NATO and senior officers of the Qatari Armed Forces.
