Ambassador of Qatar to Belgium HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani, His Excellency was also the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg and Head of Mission to the European Union, held a ceremony to celebrate Qatar National Day. A number of officials from Belgium, European Union and NATO attended the ceremony. Arab and Foreign Ambassadors as well as Qatari citizens in Belgium attended the ceremony also.

In his speech, HE the Ambassador congratulated HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and the Qatari people. The Ambassador said that December 18th was the day that everyone reflects on the achievements of those who founded the State of Qatar led by Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani.

The Ambassador added that celebrating national day was crucial to Qatari youth as it helps maintain their link to the traditions of the country. The Ambassador added that HH the Emir treasures this day out of the belief that the future of the country will be a mixture between traditions and modernity.
