For exceptional efforts and contributions, The Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) has been awarded the “Humanitarian Hero Shield” by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

A Memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and the Government of Italy, regarding aid to be sent to the areas hit by the earthquake in Italy last year.

HE Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, Head of mission of the State of Qatar to the EU, visited the European Parliment in Strasbourg and presented his condolences to the European deputies for the death of Simone Veil, former president of the EP.
